On the right track
The first trains for more than 20 years to travel to Dalston Junction have been tested. The new rolling stock travelled from New Cross through to the new Haggerston Station and then on to Dalston on the new East London Line extension. They are the first to to travel on the tracks since the link to Broad Street was closed in 1986. The line is scheduled to be handed over to London Overground in January 2010. London’s Mayor, Boris Johnson, hopes to see the service open to the public in May next year.
